About this generation
The second-generation Sisu E-Series was introduced in 1997 with a Renault-sourced cab following Sisu's cooperation with Renault V.I. The new cab replaced Sisu's own first-generation E-Series cab while the Sisu heavy-duty chassis and vocational architecture were retained. The range expanded with the E12 powered by Mack engines, while Cummins and later Renault and Caterpillar engines were also offered. The E-Series remained in production through 2006 and received several updates, including the 2001 facelift and the 2005 EVO2 update.
