The International PayStar name has been used for severe-service trucks designed for demanding vocational work including construction, mining, oilfield, logging and heavy haul. Originating as a historical International heavy-duty family, the name was later reused for modern severe-service models including the 5500i, 5600i and 5900i before the HX Series replaced PayStar in 2016.
