About this generation
The third-generation Volvo FH16 introduced an entirely new cab, advanced chassis technology and a significantly improved driver environment. The updated D16K engine delivered up to 750 hp while meeting stricter Euro 6 emissions standards, making the FH16 one of the world's most powerful and efficient production trucks. New safety systems, improved aerodynamics and enhanced connectivity established the 2012 FH16 as Volvo's flagship heavy-duty truck for long-haul transport and demanding heavy haulage applications.
