About this generation
The Tatra Phoenix was introduced in 2011 as a new heavy-duty truck developed through Tatra's cooperation with DAF. It combined Tatra's traditional backbone chassis and independent suspension concept with a DAF-derived cab and PACCAR MX engines. The Phoenix was developed primarily for construction, mining, forestry, road transport and other demanding vocational applications.
