About this generation
The 1974 Scania 1-series generation introduced the 81, 111 and 141 designations and further developed Scania's heavy-truck platform of the 1970s. Particular emphasis was placed on lower engine speeds, fuel economy and operating efficiency before Scania moved to the fully modular GPRT 2-series in 1980.
