The Freightliner FLD was introduced in 1987 as Freightliner's first aerodynamic conventional tractor and became one of North America's most successful Class 8 trucks.
The FLD marked a major shift from Freightliner's traditional cab-over-engine trucks toward aerodynamic conventional tractors.
