Overview
The 12.7-litre Tatra T2-928-1 air-cooled V8 diesel was the standard engine of the Tatra 148. It produces approximately 212 hp at 2000 rpm and around 813 Nm at 1200 rpm. The engine retained Tatra's characteristic air-cooled V8 architecture while providing a substantial increase in power over the T138.
