Overview

The Volvo D16A 550 was one of the first engines introduced with the FH16 in 1993. The 16.1-litre inline-six diesel engine was designed for demanding heavy-haul transport, delivering exceptional torque and reliability. Combined with Volvo Engine Brake (VEB), it quickly became one of Europe's most capable heavy-duty truck engines.
