About this generation
The Tatra 141 was a heavy-duty 6x6 tractor unit introduced in 1957 for towing exceptionally heavy loads. Based on the Tatra 111, it combined the company's backbone chassis, independent suspension and air-cooled V12 diesel architecture with a dedicated heavy-haul configuration.
The Tatra 141 was developed as a heavy tractor for demanding transport duties, particularly for towing heavy trailers and equipment. It retained the Tatra 111's fundamental mechanical architecture while adapting the chassis, gearing and bodywork for heavy-haul applications.
