About this generation
The IVECO TurboStar was introduced in 1984 as the successor to the IVECO Turbo series and became one of IVECO's most successful heavy-duty road trucks. Developed primarily for long-distance European transport, TurboStar featured a completely redesigned chassis, a driver-focused cab and powerful turbocharged diesel engines including six-cylinder and V8 configurations. The range was expanded during the late 1980s and culminated with the high-performance 190.48 and 190.48 Special HP variants.
