About this generation
The IVECO TurboDaily was introduced in 1985 as a turbocharged evolution of the original Daily, becoming the first light commercial vehicle to introduce turbodiesel technology. Built around the Daily's separate chassis and rear-wheel-drive architecture, TurboDaily combined truck-derived durability with improved performance and load-carrying capability. The range was progressively updated through the late 1980s and 1990s, including turbo-intercooled engines, revised styling and a new 2.8-litre engine before the second-generation Daily arrived in 1999.
